The 4th class serves as the Engineer in charge and fully responsible of Canadian Adventure Charters (CAC) Inc, vessel operations and is responsible for the success of the Corporation. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Engineer is responsible for creating and implementing a clear sense of direction for the Corporation and its related businesses by defining, communicating, and overseeing the Corporation’s mission, goals, operating principles, and strategic actions.


To oversee and manage CAC fleet of Iceclassed Explorer Vessels, Submersibles and Dive Operations for all Adventures Expeditions, Exploration, Treasure & Shipwreck Recovery, Underwater Film/ Documentary Entertainment Climate Change/Global Warming/ Marine Research charter operations.

All applicants must have previous experience in working Artic and/or Antarctica, including MED climate conditions

Minimum 5 Year’s Experience in Heavy Salvage Marine Offshore Commercial Industry
10 Years Experience onboard Research Explorer Iceclassed Vessel Private Super Yacht,
Expedition Vessels in Arctic Antarctic Polar Regions, is Required for this position.

4th class Engineer Certificates (STCW Endorsement)

Polar certified

Passenger Safety Management

Ship Security Officer Course

Helicopter Safety Management Crash Training Course is an asset

Marine Advance First Aid Course

Risk Management Training Course

Safety Awareness Course

A valid Marine Medical Certificate

Current Pass port

Knowledgeable and efficient with Word/PDF, procurement Ship Supply Managementprograms

Engineers will be required to hold CAC,s submersible Safety Management Course Training will be provided.
Knowledgeable and experienced with ROV and sonar deep water operations is not a requirement yet an asset.

Schedule: 8 weeks on/ 4 weeks off / 6/6 12 hour shift

CAC is seeking The Right Fit personalities to join our great career adventure, expedition, exploration, deep sea dive, treasure & shipwreck recovery, climate change/global warming research programonboard our fleet of luxury research explorer iceclassed vessels and submersibles.

Candidates MUST have experience running 40m to 80m iceclassed vessels or greater, including Canadian Citizenship/ work visa and Pass Ports to work in Canada, Baffin Island, Arctic, Greenland, Iceland, UK, EU, Canary Islands, Bahamas, USA, Antarctica/Globally.
