I’m Cory Burry, Founder and CEO of Canadian Adventure Charters.

Canadian Adventure Charters is currently in the planning and early development stage. Our focus is on building a scalable, Canada-based expedition and research platform that integrates marine operations, scientific access, and emerging technologies–developed carefully, and in phases.

This initiative is rooted in Canada–particularly in the North–where environmental change is accelerating and where the need for capable, adaptable marine platforms continues to grow. Our intent is to contribute to that evolving landscape not as a conventional tourism company, but as a hybrid working vessel model–one that supports research, logistics, and field operations, alongside carefully structured private expeditions led by experienced professionals.

While the operational platform itself is still being established, the groundwork behind it has been underway for several years. During this time, we have focused on assembling the right people, evaluating tools and technologies, and forming the relationships required to support long-term execution.

We have built a working network of experienced captains, scientists, digital and IT specialists, marketing professionals, and business development leaders–individuals who are not only vetted, but prepared to step into operational roles as the platform comes online. Alongside them, a group of advisors continues to provide guidance across technical, operational, and strategic areas.

We have also secured early alignment with cinematographers and media professionals, with the intention of documenting both the environments we operate in and the work being carried out. Supporting materials—including film concepts, investor decks, and technical frameworks–have already been developed to reflect this direction.

In parallel, we have established relationships with governmental bodies, northern stakeholders, and private-sector operators who have expressed interest in utilizing our services once operational. This includes long-standing connections in Innu regions, where we are committed to operating with respect, continuity, and local collaboration.

The first stage of execution remains focused: securing and deploying a capable expedition vessel to serve as a flexible, multi-use platform. This will allow us to validate operations, activate partnerships, and begin generating real-world data and experience.

From there, we intend to expand deliberately–integrating additional capabilities such as remote sensing, submersible access, and aerial systems as the platform proves itself and resources allow.

We are also exploring a longer-term concept: a land-based operational hub in Bonavista Bay. This remains in early planning and is not assumed in our near-term execution, but reflects where we believe the platform could evolve over time.

My own background is grounded in the waters of Newfoundland, where a working knowledge of the sea is not theoretical–it is earned. I have spent a lifetime operating in marine environments, from captaining fishing vessels to government ships, and working aboard expedition and eco-tourism platforms. In the Canadian Arctic, I have led operational support for remote projects, including serving as a building supervisor responsible for both execution and safety in demanding conditions.

Alongside time at sea, I have built and operated businesses, including a training school focused on certifying guides and operators in safety at sea and in polar environments. That experience—across operations, leadership, and training–shapes a practical approach to this company: build what works, operate it safely, and expand with discipline.

Canadian Adventure Charters is not being built on assumption. It is being built on experience, preparation, and a clear understanding of the environment in which it will operate.

We are currently seeking aligned partners and investors who understand long-term development in complex environments and are interested in helping bring this platform into operation.
