Mr. Cory is a Certified, Licensed Guide, and Expedition Leader, as well as a Captain of Private Yacht Charters. He
has sailed over 1Million nautical miles by sea/waterways 350K nautical miles by air, floatplane helicopters, and
1Million miles off-roads remote areas.

Cory is the President-CEO/Founder of Canadian Adventure Charters (CAC) Inc., Continental Climate Construction (CCC) Inc., RedHawk survival Training Institute Inc., and RedHawk Newfoundland survival Ltd. He has owned and operated an outdoor recreation business, remote base camps, and charter vessels. Sold recreational licenses for fishing, and hunting licenses, and attended many market supply trade shows. Establish and foster strong relations within the industry with investors and shareholders, airline corporations, travel agencies, super yacht charter
management companies, manufacturers, shipyards, and supply chains to meet the organizational goals and client’s expectations.

Sailing History

Basic cruising and bareboat cruising course

Basic Keelboat, Basic Cruising and Bareboat Cruising — starting with two days on a 26 footer, then six on a gorgeous big cruising monohull or catamaran yacht. At course end you’re ready to pursue the cruising lifestyle with confidence and ease!

Passage making course

Cory holds several certificates in -Search and Rescue, First Aid, Fire Fighting, MED, SVOP, STCW95, CSTS, WHIMS, OSSA, DSC-MC Radio Operator, and Survival Instructor to name a few, combined with 20 years’ extensive experience has an Emergency Management Planner for Land-based & Marine Operations – Logistics. He also holds 25 years as a Tourism Development Specialist.

Cory has lived around and on the water for his whole life and while growing up & working under some of the most extreme weather & sea conditions on earth, Mother Nature could ever throw upon anyone, doing this on times, at remote distances in the back county and alpine wilderness and other times out on the icy cold Atlantic Ocean of Eastern Canada and the Pacific Ocean off the coast of British Columbia and Alaska.

Cory as overseen many Land based – Marine Projects & overseen Business Development with investors and stakeholders as an CEO & operations manager, with more than 25 years of experience as a marine captain, providing professional service at sea, as well as inland tidal-non tidal water, fast-running rivers, deep-frozen harbors bays, and the North Atlantic offshore, navigating around icebergs and packed flow ice in all kinds of wind and weather conditions. A lead service provider of adventures-luxpedition & ocean exploration charter management and services, private fishing and hunting, and eco-natural charter trips. A versatile captain and business owner with solid experience as a shipwright, salvage and recovery operations expert. He has managed and operated many Tugboats and barges and other vessels for heavy construction marine projects, for oil field tailings, ponds, inland waters and offshore in artic flow ice areas.

Cory enjoys treasure, artifacts and high-value shipwreck cargo salvage, sport fishing, big game guiding, organizing & leading expeditions, marine consulting, teaching basic survival and advanced courses & the general overall enjoyment of personal boating, camping, and up to the cabins where he’s in his true elements here in Newfoundland, Labrador, Northwest Passage, Northern British Columbia, NWT, the Yukon, and Alaska, and the South Atlantic warm beaches too of course.

Cory is from Newfoundland, Canada, and was raised in a family background of grandparents and family on one side working with the Department of Transportations and Works, Eastern Health and at the Confederation Building, while his other grandparents lived and operated, Greenspond Puffin Island Lighthouse, in Bonvista Bay and worked with Canadian Coast Guard and marine industries around the world.

His family and friends and work are a very important part of his life. Cory has a daughter Taylor. His father Jim Burry now passed away, was very well recognized with the Canadian Coast Guard for 24 years of service, his mother Nina Burry was a school teacher, worked at the confederation building, in St. John’s, and raised 3 sons at home; Cory and his two younger brothers Ryan and Travis all living and working in Newfoundland. Some of his family work on ships sailing the world.

Cory has a great love and passion for the environment outdoors and Mother Nature. When he has a chance, he enjoys traveling, playing hockey, volleyball, swimming, camping, flying in small aircraft and helicopters, trapping, hunting, and horseback trails riding, and a good cook-up on the shoreline.

Cory’s knowledge and skills, resources, and networks have aided him to manage and operate his own general construction company, undertaking land-based & marine construction projects such as retrofitting & shipwright projects, constructing floating and stationed docks and remote work camps sites and managing tailings pond operations for the oil industry, as well teaching and training others around him, how to be safe and identify, prevent, or respond to emergencies if and when they arise.

He has years of experience working with the Provincial & Federal Government Departments and high-ranked cabinet officials around the world. He has completed many R&D studies, plans, and proposals considered an industry specialist for survival educational course curriculum development and training, emergency planning, business development, and operation management. Cory has worked closely with several organizations, associations, and foundations across Canada and with Worldwide Institutions, the Red Cross, doctors, scientists, biologist, IT and AI engineers, Canadian and European, USA, UK, China, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Africa Embassy Leaders, Political Advisors, Global Affairs, Senior Trade Commissioners and High Network Investors, including Climate Funding Institutions and supporting hedge funds

Mr. Cory is known as an emergency and survival trainer expert, he has been invited by most of the institutional members including provincial, national, and local authorities, Canadian Coast Guard, SARR, First Nations, Inuit Nations, National Security, PEP, the Red Cross, FEMA and others to ensure the safety of social infrastructure and the general public. By using his life earned experience, skills, and knowledge, he designed training for life-threatening and non-life-threatening emergencies, disasters, preventable events, and first-hand responses, including the scale of impact during the immediate and long-term aftermath trauma and the cost of such events. He collaborates also with DFO, Environment Canada, Transport Canada, Oceanographic Institutions, including global manufacturers and supply chain networks, marinas clubs, resorts, and several non-profit organizations and foundations.

Looking ahead, Cory is poised to develop strong working relationships with interested investors and shareholder relations within the Green and Blue Economic Development sectors. He is ready to establish partnerships with companies, oceanographic institutes, universities, and foundations interested in CAC-CCC Mega Port-Seaside Resort Development in Cat Bay, Bonvista Bay, Newfoundland. This ambitious project includes global emergency preparedness manufacturing and supply, a super luxury fleet of Ice-classed explorer yachts and deep sea submersibles for charters operations, treasure, artifact and high-value cargo shipwreck recovery, ocean exploration, reef restoration and monitoring, underwater film documentary, expeditions and adventures, climate change/global warming and marine research. Align with our operations in the North Atlantic, Canadian Arctic, Baffin Island, South Atlantic, Bahamas, Caribbean, and Antarctica. Cory’s vision encompasses an organic holistic approach to strategic environmental sustainability, economic development and security, and adventure tourism, making him a pioneer in the industry.
