Joanna Dicks
Joanna is a marine biologist specializing in the impacts of anthropogenic change on marine ecosystems. Her work spans polar and tropical environments, from investigating carbon export off the coast of Greenland to assessing the health of coral reefs, seagrass, and mangrove ecosystems in Belize.
With extensive experience in remote marine environments, she brings strong research expertise and a collaborative approach to expedition science. Her background, including clinical and emergency response training, ensures safe, effective operations in challenging settings while facilitating meaningful scientific engagement for expedition teams and guests alike.
