About me
Anna Zuckerman-Vdovenko
Anna Zuckerman-Vdovenko brings more than sixteen years of operational, sales, and expedition experience in the world’s most remote regions. A veteran of numerous polar voyages—including expeditions to Antarctica, the Geographic North Pole by nuclear icebreaker, and both the Northeast and Northwest Passages—she combines deep field knowledge with strategic marketing expertise to help expedition and exploration companies grow high-value programs and attract discerning clients.
Born in California and educated at Princeton University, Anna later earned a Master’s degree in Polar Science from the Scott Polar Research Institute at the University of Cambridge. Her graduate research focused on Wrangel Island in the Russian Arctic, examining the geopolitical tensions surrounding the region and advocating for its protection as a globally significant polar bear denning habitat. Her work contributed to the broader scientific dialogue that supported Wrangel Island’s eventual designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004.
In addition to her expedition career, Anna is an accomplished marketing consultant and professional photographer, helping exploration companies and conservation organizations translate complex scientific and geographic stories into compelling narratives that drive engagement and bookings.
Anna previously served as a Board Member of Friends of South Georgia Island, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and restoring the extraordinary wildlife and cultural heritage of the sub-Antarctic island. She now serves as their Director of Communications, supporting fundraising, outreach, and international awareness for conservation initiatives in the Southern Ocean.
Today, Anna works closely with expedition travel companies and mission-driven organizations to strengthen marketing strategy, increase expedition sales, and connect travelers, donors, and investors with some of the most extraordinary places on Earth.
